Hungary awaits you with beautiful new hotels after the coronavirus – PHOTOS
The coronavirus pandemic has had a severe effect on tourism since last March, but, thanks to the vaccines, it seems that by the summer, we can get back to the life we got used to before the virus. Tourism will start again, with Hungary being an attractive destination, as people came to visit from all over the world before March 2020. Hospitalitynet.org collected some beautiful hotels that will open in the next few years in Central and Eastern Europe and will welcome guests, providing high-quality services.
According to hospitalitynet.org, COVID-19 hit the European hospitality sector hard in 2020. However, when the reopening happens, 277 new hotels with 63,680 rooms will welcome guests from all over the world in the Central and Eastern European region. “Thus, it seems that 2021 will be a busy period for new openings of hotels in the region and with even more to come in the market for the subsequent years. This indicates that investors and developers are optimistic about the rebound of hotels in the next few years,” the portal wrote.
In Poland, for example, 62 new hotels will open, with 12,314 available rooms. The second place goes to Russia with 61 hotels and 11,392 rooms, while the third will be Croatia with 34 new facilities and 11,927 rooms.
Budapest alone will see 14 new hotels opening in the following years. Meanwhile, this number is 11 in the case of the Russian capital, Moscow, and nine in the case of Prague.

“It is worth exploring specific projects that will come to the market in the next few years to understand better their quality and what new aspects they have to offer in the industry. One & Only Portonovi will open their first hotel in Montenegro in March 2021. It will be the brand’s first property in Europe. When open, the hotel will offer 140 rooms and villas, private residences, and a marina. It will combine effortless elegance with want-for-nothing service and world-class wellness facilities,” says hospitalitynet.org.
The new Bvlgari Hotel will open in 2022, in Moscow, just 300 metres from the Kremlin and the Red Square. The hotel will have 65 rooms and will be built in modern Italian style containing a 300-square-metre Bvlgari Suite, a lavish restaurant, a bar with a spacious roof terrace, and a state-of-the-art spa.
The 5-star Hard Rock Hotel Letna Prague will open in 2023 with 523 rooms and suites. “It will boast magnificent views overlooking Letna Park and the spectacular Prague Castle from the hotel’s sophisticated rooftop Sky Bar,” hospitalitynet.org says. Furthermore, it will have a 20,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose ballroom.
The Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel is expected to open its doors in 2021. It will contain 185 guest rooms and suites. The accommodation will be centred around the cavernous atrium, while the ground-floor New York Café – named “The Most Beautiful Café in the World” – will remain the heart of the social scene.
