Hungarians support re-starting life and economy – Survey

Respondents in the latest Századvég survey have expressed support for plans to “restart life and the economy under strict rules”, the research institute said on Tuesday.
Fully 76 percent of respondents in the survey said that the country could enter the next phase of prevention against the novel coronavirus epidemic, and gradually restart the economy, while 21 percent held the opposite view.
According to the survey, 66 percent of respondents thought that hospitals were well prepared to receive large numbers of coronavirus patients.
Ninety-four percent of the 1,000-strong representative sample were aware that restrictions of the past few weeks had been aimed at preparing the health system for a massive increase in patient numbers.
Participants were asked about Covid-19 itself, and 66 percent said that the virus was more dangerous for older people, while 32 percent said that it posed an equal risk to everybody.
