Budapest, January 7 (MTI) – The city of Mohacs, on the Danube in southern Hungary, plans to build a 5 billion forint (EUR 16m) commercial port by the end of 2017, the mayor said on Thursday.

The city has won an EU grant of 4.75 billion forints and will add 300 million from its own budget, Jozsef Szeko said.

A general contractor for the project will be selected in a tender by the end of this year, he said, adding that it could be completed by the end of 2017.
