The Bucharest Colectiv nightclub fire has a Hungarian survivor, wrote Magyar Nemzet – the Székely girl is in her twenties, and she talked about what happened at the club when the fire started.

The witness (she asked not to be named) went to the club with three of her friends. There was a one hour delay before Goodbye To Gravity, a Romanian metal band started playing. The girl and her friends stood in the farthest corner of the club, but half an hour later she started feeling dizzy, and asked her friend to step outside with her to get some fresh air.

As soon as they got to the exit people started running out of the club, and then they saw the smoke and the fire behind them. People with burnt clothes rushed towards the exit, everything was a huge mess, and the space in front of the club was filled with smoke within seconds.

The girl said that one of her friends died, and the other’s body is severely wounded – 70% of his skin got burnt, and his lungs are damaged; only machines are keeping him alive.

Before the ambulance has arrived, severely burnt people were begging to others to drive them to the hospital; “I was the luckiest one in the crowd” – the girl added.

The nightclub fire that occurred on Friday has 30 victims so far, and 90 people are in critical condition. The fire was most possible caused by the pyrotechnics that ignited the club’s sound-proofing.
