Programmes for the Weekend: Street Food Show and Sweet Days

Gastronomy just keeps and keeps flourishing. This is best shown by the amount of gastro festivals each year. This weekend you can visit two of them: the Street Food Festival in Andrássy Street and the Sweet Days in the Buda Castle.

Street Food Show:

This has been one of the most determinative fashion waves in gastronomy in the past few years. This is a different interpretation of fast food. It lets creativity shine because there are no limits. Real classics are in the spotlight again besides the burger-fever. It is guaranteed that everyone finds something for their taste.

This is the 9th time that this event is organised during the European Mobility Week and the heyday of it, the Car Free Weekend. The organisers ask the vendors to show their new faces with food and drinks that go with their specialties. The show has an effect on all of our senses: you can taste incredible food creations, you’ll see decorative food trucks, you will hear the sound of contentment and what you will smell is indescribable.

Sweet Days (Édes Napok):

What a better place to spend your weekend than the Buda Castle! It’s an imposing environment in itself but it can get better! And it always does with different events. This weekend it gives place to the Sweet Days, the feast of chocolate and desserts.

Surely, this is something you have been waiting for if you have a big sweet tooth. The main focuses this year are the sugar free and healthy sweets. The motto sounds like this: Let the people suffering from diabetes or on a diet have three sweet days! Other than that, you can enjoy different concerts and programmes if you visit the festival.
