Jobbik proposes five-party talks on retirement

Budapest, February 26 (MTI) – The radical nationalist Jobbik party is proposing five-party coordination talks on the possibility of retirement for men after 40 years of work, which already exists for women.

Deputy speaker of parliament Tamás Sneider told a press conference on Thursday that opening this option to men enjoys wide social support and the backing of trade unions, so Jobbik plans to discuss its feasibility with the other parliamentary parties next week.

He said he expects the ruling parties to supply detailed information at the meeting about how much it would cost to introduce the measure and how it could be implemented.
